Attendance:
Regular attendance and participation are essential for satisfactory progress. In the event you can not attend class, it is your responsibility to notify the instructor prior to the start of class via email or by leaving a phone message with the academic affairs secretary. Be sure to specify the class (IS316 or IS414 for example) and the instructor's name when speaking with the academic affairs secretary. Participation:
Active participation is graded based upon what you add to the class, beyond being in attendance, that is relevant to the class lecture or reading assignment. You have to be in attendance to receive a grade. Students not in attendance will receive a zero for participation for that class.
